Some YouTube videos are only available in some regions, since their uploaders do not want all the people in the world to see them for free.
For example, the following is the official video of Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball:
This video is only available in US, so you will fail to watch it directly if you are living in somewhere else, for the following error:

So, is it some way to unblock the video?
Since I thought Google would determine my location by my computer's public IP address, I had tried to use a US VPN and a US web proxy, but neither of them worked.
So, it seems that Google can bypass the public IP address of a VPN or proxy and find out where I am living indeed.
With upset and curiosity, I went to Google and finally found a solve way — ProxMate, which is a free proxy extension works on Chrome and Firefox.
After installation, the ProxMate extension will work automatically and you can watch any YouTube videos that are not available in your country directly, as what you can see from the following image:
For a video with location limit, ProxMate will automatically add something like "&proxmate=us" to the end of the original video URL, and for a video without region restrict, nothing will be added to the URL.
Cool, right?
But if your country blocks YouTube, you need to unblock it with a VPN service before you can watch its videos with ProxMate.
Besides YouTube, ProxMate is also available for you to unblock Google Play, Hulu, Pandora and many other popular services with region restrict.
By the way, ProxMate only works on the sites it supports, for a YouTube video that is not available in your country embedded in a third-party site, you can't watch it with ProxMate, that's why you can't watch the Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball video embedded in the beginning of this post.
